पवर्ग (Labial) Sanskrit alphabet, example and their meaning

Hello Friends, welcome to Sanskrit Gurukul. Today I am gonna teach you about the next group of alphabets in Sanskrit i.e, पवर्ग (Labial), with some examples from each alphabet with their meaning also. If you came here the first time you can start from vowels and consonants to have a better idea. in the last post, you have already finished the alphabet from तवर्ग (dental) group. let’s start with Labial (पवर्ग).

The fifth group is called पर्वग (Labial). The pronunciation point is labial/lipsl) पंचम वर्ग को पवर्ग कहते हैं। इनका उच्चारण स्थान ओष्ठ हैं।

प (pa) (पवर्ग -Labial)

प (pa) का उच्चारण ओष्ठ की सहायता से होता हैं। यह पर्वग का प्रथम अक्षर है। इसके उच्चारण में प्रतिध्वनि/गूंज (अघोष) नही ) होती तथा साँस छोडने की जरूरत भी नही (अल्पप्राण) होती हैं।
It is unaspirate hard letter ,which means it doesn’t reverberate (vibration) nor exhalation to be pronounce. Pronounced from labial/lips. Example sPin,Pink,

फ (pha) पवर्ग -Labial)

फ (pha) का उच्चारण स्थान ओष्ठ है। यह पर्वग का द्वितीय अक्षर है। इसके उच्चारण में प्रतिध्वनि/गूंज (अघोष) नही होती हैं परन्तु साँस छोडने की जरूरत होती (महाप्राण) हैं।
It is aspirate hard letter. This letter doesn’t reverberate (vibration) but does need an exhalation in perfect pronunciation.
Pronounced from labial/lips.

ब (ba) (पवर्ग -Labial)

ब (ba) का उच्चारण ओष्ठ की सहायता से होता हैं। यह पर्वग का तृतीय अक्षर है। इसके उच्चारण में प्रतिध्वनि/गूंज (सघोष) होती हैं परन्तु साँस छोडने की जरूरत नही (अल्पप्राण) होती हैं।
It is unaspirate soft letter ,which means it’s does reverberate (vibration) but doesn’t need an exhalation to be pronounce. Pronounced from labial/lips. Example Basket, Bone, Boat etc.

भ (bha) (पवर्ग -Labial)

भ (bha) का उच्चारण स्थान ओष्ठ है। यह पर्वग का चतुर्थ अक्षर है। इसके उच्चारण में प्रतिध्वनि/गूंज (सघोष) होती हैं एवम् साँस छोडने की जरूरत भी होती (महाप्राण) हैं।
It is aspirate soft letter. This letter doesn’t reverberate (vibration) but does need an exhalation in pronunciation. It is pronounced from labial/lips. For example, bob hansen etc.

म (ma) (पवर्ग -Labial)

म (ma) का उच्चारण नासिका की सहायता से होता हैं। यह पर्वग का पांचवां तथा अंतिम अक्षर है। इसके उच्चारण में प्रतिध्वनि/गूंज (सघोष) होती हैं परन्तु साँस छोडने की जरूरत नही (अल्पप्राण) होती हैं।
It is unaspirate soft letter. This letter does reverberate (vibration), but doesn’t need exhalation to be pronounce. It is pronounced from nasal. For example, mine, Make etc.
